Code 11 , also known as USD-8, is a variable-length barcode symbology -the length of data that encoded by a single Code 11 is variable. You can input data at any length in the Code 11.

Code 11 encodes numeric characters only. The dash symbol (-) is also encodable by Code 11.

Data integrity is obtained by the check digit or digits using in Code 11. If less than ten characters is encoded, there will be only one check digit in the Code 11. The check digit is called checksum C. When ten or more data characters are included in the Code 11, there will be two check digits in it. The other check digit using along with checksum C, is checksum K. Note that all both checksum C and checksum K are not required but highly recommended in Code 11.
